The Sabah IT Industry Excellence Awards (SITIEA) is designed to recognise and promote quality and excellence in the IT industry in Sabah. It is hoped that such efforts will spur and facilitate the development of a resilient IT industry with a strong indigenous capacity. This is essential as IT is a key enabler that will drive the transformation of our economy to one that is centred around knowledge.

The SITIEA is a biennial programme with 2005 as its inaugural year. For the year 2007, SITIEA is jointly organised by Unit Kemajuan IT Negeri (KIT) and Sabah Computer Society (SCS).

The SITIEA 2007 provides an excellent opportunity for the IT industry to market products, build relationship, raise profiles and network on a variety of levels. It is also an avenue for the players to benchmark their products, projects or services and eventually participate in national and international awards.

OBJECTIVES
